One natural phenomenon is the water that descends from the sky and is stored in large reservoirs underground known as aquifers. This stored water remains potable for drinking and watering plants for a long time. The reason is the nature of the rock and soil strata above the aquifers. Loosely consolidated soils and porous rocks filter and store water, which consistently maintains a fine quality. This natural water storage amazes scientists. However Allah Almighty told us about it. Allah (SWT) says: “And we send the winds fertilizing, then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores” [Al-Hijr: 22].
This is one of the Quranic miracles and a proof that it is the book of Allah (SWT).
