A number of scientists have conducted a recent study about the impact of prohibited gaze at women on men and the continuation of such gazes. They have found that looking at women with lust causes many diseases at the top of which is arteriosclerosis that happens due to the frenzy that such looks cause. Such gazes also cause hypertension and some psychological disorders that don't appear except at an old age such as memory weakness as well as other diseases. Hence, we realize why Allah commands men to lower their gaze; Allah, the Almighty says:
“Say to the believing men
That they should lower
Their gaze and guard
Their modesty: that will make
For greater purity for them:
And God is well acquainted
With all that they do.” Nur or Light: 30
